Exploring Israel with Jesus
One alternative to a tour of the Holy Land is to come along to a CMJ UK ‘Exploring Israel with Jesus’ day (EIwJ). During these one-day events - usually a Saturday - I can’t offer you the smells of a Jerusalem market, or the taste of St Peter's fish, but these events open up this breathtaking land through photos, maps, and short videos as well as in-depth Bible discussions, which include cultural insights and word studies.
One of the main issues with contemporary biblical education is a lack of appreciation for the Jewish cultural, geographical, and historical context of the gospels. When we include these aspects, we discover a greater complexity to the texts, which in turn reveals greater insights into stories we may think we know!
Here's the CMJ UK promo video for 'Exploring Israel with Jesus'. Once you've watched the video, and looked at the information on this page, feel free to contact me either through this website or through the website of CMJ UK.
